This durable, fully ventilated drive carrier and housing design works with any Promise IDE RAID 1 product for "hot swap" operation. If a drive fails under RAID 1 (two drives), just slide the bad drive out and slide a replacement drive in. FastSwap also lets you use an internal hard drive like a removable storage device. Just shut down the system, swap the drive, and reboot. External access makes everything just a pull of the handle away. Use with your choice of low-cost Ultra DMA or EIDE drives. Compact rolling hard case with extra-long telescoping handle, padded interior compartments, cable organizer pockets, and smooth rolling ball bearing wheels. Can be carried on an airplane, checked as luggage, or shipped.
