DataPort VIII is the ultimate system when continuous visual monitoring of a hard disk drive is required. It features an advanced design and criterion for high capacity disk drives operating at 7200 rpm and above. The DataPort VIII has a cast alloy metal frame and cartridge, SCSI ID selector switch with LED display, and gold-plated connectors. The DataPort VIII comes with dual ball bearing fans; one fan in front draws outside air in while a fan in back pushes heat out and away from the unit. CRU's patented Temperature Controlled Cooling System (TCCS) is a standard feature of the DataPort VIII and is coupled with an audible fan failure alarm.
